What we are doing together

Collab Group and Build UK have collaborated to design the innovative entry level construction course: “Bridge Into Construction.” The programme brings together FE colleges and employers to deliver a route into the industry for new talent. The programme responds to a real need within the construction industry and was developed based on employer feedback. The programme is flexible and allows learners to experience all phases of a construction project from the tendering stage, through to design, construction and post-construction.

Build UK focuses on a number of core priorities.

Improving business performance

Driving sustainable growth in construction

Increasing productivity

Supporting the industry to adopt more effective ways of working to deliver better project outcomes

Recruiting, training and retaining talent

Securing the right skills for the industry, now and in the future

Build UK are a trusted partner who we work with to transform skills in the construction industry

Build UK has worked alongside Collab Group since 2017 on the development and rollout of Bridge into Construction, a one year further education course aimed to ensure that both young people have the training and skills to embark on an apprenticeship in construction, and employers have access to the next generation of talent.
