  5. Taking a leading role in shaping the future skills needs to ensure the long-term economic capacity of the UK economy.

Key purposes of role

  1. To contribute to the achievement of the Collab Group’s strategic objectives, assuming responsibility for supporting the Collab Group Commercial team to achieve business line objectives.
  2. To provide project management assistance with respect to developing proposals, tender submissions, and contract commitments.
  3. To build collaborative relationships with employers and Government Department to further revenues for both Collab Group and our membership colleges.
  4. To manage a pool of commercial partners and ensure that our member colleges are seeing the value of their solutions.
  5. To build a strong relationship with a small pool of new/existing employers that would benefit from Collab Group’s national delivery model.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Work as part of a small but highly motivated, focussed commercial sales team, selling innovative skills solutions.
  2. Responsible for collating information, writing, and managing ITT’s and Call off contracts
  3. Account managing 10/11 college accounts to work with them to further business opportunities generated by Collab Group.
  4. To be accountable for the successful implementation and development of major national training programmes won by the Collab Group.
  5. To manage a small pool of corporate partners and ensure they are presented to our college members.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a business development role, dealing with senior management.
  2. Outstanding team-working skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and to communicate effectively.
  3. Experience of managing ITT’s
  4. Effective management of time and diary to ensure KPI achievement.
  5. Clear and accurate record keeping within a recognised CRM system (preferably Salesforce).
  6. A desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and deadlines.
  7. Willing to go over and above and put the extra hours in to support colleagues.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Knowledge of winning and deploying DWP Contracts £1m +.
  2. Knowledge of Apprenticeships or corporate training
  3. Understanding of Government ITT’s
