Collab Group is involved in the new UK Parliament apprenticeship partnerships

This programme will enable 25 apprentices to work in the most important buildings of the UK government including the House of Commons, The House of Lords and the iconic Elizabeth Tower/Big Ben.

The apprenticeships are in a variety of sectors including retail, HR, customer service, project management, digital services, accountancy, engineering, plumbing and property maintenance. Collab Group is pleased to be offering a unique single managed service to Parliament Estates which will facilitate effective management of the programme and ensure consistency, quality and flexibility. Collab Group colleges and our strategic partners will also be delivering specialist Heritage apprenticeships which will help protect the vital skills needed for future care and maintenance of some of London’s most historical landmarks.

This is a very important partnership for Collab Group who are thrilled to be part of such a prestigious project. This programme will see our leading London FE colleges working collaboratively to deliver the skills that employers in the Capital are looking for.

The Parliamentary Estates apprenticeship programme is an invaluable opportunity for apprentices. It will enable young people to leave a mark in history by being involved in the refurbishment and management of the parliamentary buildings. Young people can revitalise one of the most important institutions in the UK, and Collab Group colleges will help them achieve this.

Gary Boyd, Director of Business Development for Collab Group said: “We are delighted to be involved in this partnership between Newham College and Parliament. We are at an important time in the restoration of the fabric of these great buildings and this project gives a unique opportunity for apprentices to work in a prestigious environment which will undoubtably lead to further career opportunities. I am looking forward to working with Parliament Estates over the coming years to help secure the vital skills required to protect these “national treasures.”
