Suzana Lezaj

Age: 35

Course: Foundation Degree in Footwear

“I came to the UK from Kosovo as an asylum seeker after the war. I always had a love for fashion and footwear. It was my dream. It was difficult to go into education earlier due to my circumstances.

After things settled in my life I joined Leicester College at Level 2 and decided to really push myself to work hard and finally achieve my dream. I have had the most amazing support at Leicester College and want to thank all the staff who have helped me every step of the way.”

Suzana won the Leicester College Adult Learner of the Year Award 2016.
