Blackpool and the Fylde College is located in North West England. The college has an excellent reputation and works closely with industry to co-create technical and professional education courses that develop learners skills, knowledge and behaviours. Blackpool and The Fylde College received the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education on Thursday 25 February 2016. The elite award recognises the College’s innovative work in the field of higher technical and professional education in partnership with employers.
The College is one of only four general FE college winners and the only one in the North of England. The Chair of Governors, the Principal and Chief Executive, and students were amongst those invited to Buckingham Palace to receive the award.
